    The number of internet users is increasing at an extraordinary rate of over 200% annually. This rapid growth highlights the need to regulate internet services to protect the interests of users, service providers, operators, and society at large.

    • Legal Compliance – Adhere to the laws and regulations governing internet services in India.
    • Amendments Responsibility – The executive council is responsible for updating this policy as per ISPAI rules and regulations.
    • Ethical Practices – The goal of this code of conduct is to promote ethical and professional practices in internet service provision.
    • Principles of Conduct – Our code is based on being technology-neutral, fair to stakeholders, and safeguarding user data. It does not regulate content provided by individual ISPs.
    • Law Enforcement Cooperation – Adhere to law enforcement agencies and comply with legal requirements in India.
    • Prevention of Illegal Activities – Ensure no illegal activities as per the Information Technology Act, ISP policies, and other legal stipulations.
    • Jurisdictional Compliance – Follow laws related to the reporting of transactions.
    • Prevention of Unlawful Activities – Do not permit any unlawful activities, including illegal internet services or promotional material.
    • Fair Dealings – Treat all ISPAI members and the public fairly, respecting their rights and interests.
    • Support Public Initiatives – Support initiatives that benefit the public while following the legal framework of India.
    • Non-Discriminatory Content – Ensure that content does not promote violence, hate, or discrimination based on religion, caste, creed, or sex.
    • Parental Permission – Ensure that users are registered for internet services only with explicit parental or guardian consent.
    • License Agreement Compliance – Abide by the terms of the internet service license agreement.
    • Clear Information – Provide clear, accurate, and honest information about internet services, pricing, and operations to customers and authorities.
    • Fraud Prevention – Implement measures to detect and prevent fraud and protect data from breaches.
    • Collaboration for Security – Cooperate with ISPAI members to prevent and investigate network breaches or hacking.
    • Unauthorized Access Prevention – Implement controls to prevent unauthorized access to internet resources.
    • Transparent Terms – Clearly state the terms and conditions for internet services before customers register.
    • Code Awareness – Make customers, channel partners, and distributors aware of this code, and inform them that violations may result in service termination.
    • Privacy Protection – Safeguard customer privacy and clearly communicate practices for protecting personal data.
    • Privacy Tools – Offer the latest customer filtering software and advise on tools to protect data privacy.
    • Anti-Spam Measures – Use anti-spam software to minimize unwanted emails and ensure customer protection.
    • Clarifying Data Collection – Clearly explain why personally identifiable information (e.g., phone numbers, addresses, credit card details) is collected.
    • Voluntary Participation – Note that this code of conduct is voluntary for ISPAI members, and there is currently no formal complaint handling process, though this may be reviewed in the future.
